Just a heads up, this post has a lot of pictures..

Hello hello!
So we've gotten going a little more. Classes are underway, we've explored the city a little bit and there is food in the fridge! (The last is the most important if you ask me..) My sweet sweet mom was kind enough to send me several Student-On-A-Budget cookbooks and a slow cooker! I can't wait to use it! She also sent me a ton of recipes and I think the first thing I'll make in it is chili! I can't wait :)

Classes are good, we haven't done a whole lot, but I'm excited to get more into the semester. Right now I'm kinda stressed out by classes and the thought of finals and big essays to do. It makes me feel like I'll have to be studying all the time, which I hope I won't because theres a lot of exploring I want to do!

Cynthia, my academic advisor and professor, has been really helpful. She brought her whole family to London with her, so she's always doing stuff with her cute cute kids. Today she, her kids and I went to the park and played on the playground and fed the ducks! It really helped me get my mind off of everything I was thinking of before. Then she went home with the kids and I stayed in the park to study for a while and then decided to go exploring! (Sorry mom..) I walked all around near Regents Park and found the Sherlock Holmes Museum and a great place to study that is near my flat. Unfortunately it was closed, so I decided to go to The British Library! I can not wait to go back there. Seriously its amazing. It has a room called Treasures of the British Library and there is all of this amazing stuff in there like the lyrics to "A Hard Day's Night" written on the back of a birthday card and the Magna Carta and Handel's Messiah HAND WRITTEN!! Man that's exciting stuff.

Yesterday, I was supposed to see MacBeth in Shakespeare's Globe, but I got super sick. Also, the tickets we had were "Groundling" tickets, so I would've been standing the whole time and I probably would have passed out. But I'm super bummed I didn't get to see it so I think I'm going to buy another ticket and go another time with one of the juniors on the trip! She's really great. She's pretty into theater too so I think that it'd be a blast to go see some plays with her!

There are so many more things that I want to do while we're here. There's a club/bowling alley right down my street that sounds exciting and the Victoria and Albert museum which has an amazing art library. We have to make a bucket list for one of my classes with 5 things we need to do before we leave London and I have waaayy more than 5. Can't wait for more adventures!

xoxo,

Keckeley
